Last Thursday, one of our member companies, Bauerfeind USA, celebrated the opening of their new facilities in Marietta. The new location hosts the offices of Bauerfeind USA and a Performance Center that showcases Bauerfeind’s different product lines and new innovative measuring technologies, marking an important step for Bauerfeind within the US. The Grand Opening also coincided with the company’s 25th anniversary of being in the states. David Rosen, Global Head of Consumer Brands, delivered the welcome and introduction.
An official ribbon cutting ceremony was performed by Tiago da Silva, Executive Vice President of Commercial Operations, Klaus Laidig, Executive Board Member and Dr. Lutz Görgens, the German Consul General of Atlanta. Several key figures from the Marietta, Kennesaw and Atlanta areas were in attendance for the Grand Opening including Mark Matthews, the Mayor of Kennesaw, Wolfgang Krueger, Director of the German Cultural Center of Atlanta, Martina Stegmeier, Vice President and Director of Consulting Services of the GACC South and John Woodward, Director of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.
Following the welcome and ribbon cutting, guests consisting of political figures, local athletes, physicians and current customers enjoyed traditional German food and live demonstrations of Bauerfeind’s measuring technologies – the new BodyTronic®, Image 3D measuring system for compression therapy, MediLogic® foot pressure measuring system, the SpinalMouse for measurement of the Spinal Column, and VenoScan to check vein health.
Bauerfeind USA hopes that this Performance Center becomes not only a retail environment, but a place where one can purchase the highest quality of products and experience new technologies that can help determine what the customer most needs. For example, customers can receive their own custom support or foot orthotics.
