abat US Creates a “green” Data Center for BLG Logistics

BLG Logistics is a major logistics service provider that works with companies such as Mercedes-Benz US International in Vance, Alabama. You may also recognize their name as one of our 14th Annual Gala partners last year. Their President, Steven Markham, is the newly-elected Vice Chairman of our Board of Directors, and their US office is located in the GACC South’s business incubator space at our offices here in Atlanta.

Relatively new to the states, abat US is currently working to establish a truly green and fully outsourced data center in Birmingham, Alabama that will support BLG Logistics in increasing their commitment to Mercedes-Benz US International. Both abat US and BLG Logistics are German-parented, US established companies.

abat US works with growing enterprises in the United States to rapidly develop and deploy cost effective, highly secure, and efficient IT capabilities. They create solutions that are energy efficient and scalable in order to minimize energy footprints while optimizing performance. abat US has worked with Daimler before in other parts of the world, which aided in creating the best possible system for the USA processes.

The GACC South is looking forward to watching a great partnership form between these companies!

  1. Good Morning,
I read a number of articles about your company building a plant at Mercedes. Congratulations on your new adventure.

The New Homewood Suites-Riverchase by Hilton is located in Hoover (outside Birmingham, AL). We are a great location for travelers commuting to and from the plant. I would like to be contacted by someone in the travel department.

    Best Regards
