The 41st Annual Peachtree Road Race

55,000 people ran in Sunday’s 41st Annual Peachtree Road Race, including our President & CEO, Kristian Wolf,  his wife, Jennifer Wolf and our Director of Marketing, Stefanie Jehlitschka.

The Peachtree Road Race is the world’s largest 10k (6.2 miles) race, and people from all over the globe fly in to participate. The race went to Ethiopia’s Gebre Gebremariam with a running time of 27 minutes, 56 seconds. The wide variety of entrants, in their wide variety of costumes, were entertaining and interesting to watch. Given the national holiday (July 4th, the US’s Independence Day), many were dressed in red, white and blue. Others were dressed in superhero costumes, ballerina tutus, cans fashioned into armor, and more. Alongside the Peachtree Road Race here in Atlanta, four other races took place on the same day in the middle east for all of the US Soldiers currently serving there. Two were held in Iraq, one in Iran and one in Afghanistan.

Hopefully you can join us next year, and we can talk more of our GACC South family into participating!
