Oktoberfest is all around

Starting this weekend, Oktoberfest season in Atlanta will officially kick off! All Oktoberfest festivities are based on a tradition from the city of Munich in Bavaria, Germany. The official Oktoberfest is typically a 16-18 day festival, running from late September to the first weekend in October and only takes place in Munich. It is one of the most famous events in Germany and the world’s largest fair, with some six million people attending every year. The original Oktoberfest occurred in Munich, on October 12, 1810, marking this year as the 200 year jubilee of the event.
