Reinforcing German ties in Alabama

Our very own VP of the Atlanta Office and Marketing Services, Stefanie Jehlitschka, recently traveled to Alabama to attend a ceremony which recognized Michael Johnson, a lawyer with Johnston Barton Proctor & Rose, as Alabama’s new honorary consul of Germany.

“The German government sees Alabama as important enough to continue to have this position in Alabama,” Johnson said. “I’m proud to be part of a collective in this state that recognizes the strong ties that exist between Alabama and Germany and want to see those ties made stronger.”

Alabama is Germany’s largest international trade partner, with companies such as Mercedes Benz, BLG Logistics and Thyssen Krupp active in the state, among others.
