Another angle of Das Haus

This past October, Atlanta had the pleasure of launching the tour of Das Haus, a completely self-sufficient, traveling pavilion that was built using some of today’s most advanced green technologies in home construction – including a plethora of solar panels, energy storage systems and user-friendly energy monitoring systems. It was the winning entry by the Technical University of Darmstadt in the 2007 and 2009 international Solar Decathlon, and has been on tour in the United States and Canada since this past fall. The GACC South was a huge supporter of Das Haus and helped prepare for its arrival in Atlanta.

Atlanta’s host site at the World of Coca Cola at Pemberton Place came with a unique point of view, however – a time lapse camera that recorded the building, stay and breakdown of the complex over its 9-day visit. Check out the video below:

Das Haus is currently on its way to San Francisco, California. For more information and upcoming tour stops, please visit their website here.
