Save the Date for our Annual General Meeting!

We here at the chamber are so excited to announce our 2012 Annual General Meeting, which will be held on May 7 at the Westin Huntsville in Alabama. Our Annual General Meeting brings together leaders and executives from our German-American business community to discuss the essential role trans-Atlantic relationships play in many industries that drive business growth in the southern U.S. In addition to discussing shared issues, challenges and exciting developments, the meeting is a great driver of important networking and connection-making amongst our members and friends.

The Annual General Meeting will open with a breakfast program with guest speaker John Norris, Head of Wealth Management at Oakworth Capital Bank, and continue with a German Executive panel discussion to be moderated by AGCO Corporation Chairman, President and CEO Martin Richenhagen. The keynote luncheon will present insights from Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. President and CEO Markus Shäfer.

Members of the GACC South will then have the opportunity to vote for candidates vying for open seats on the Board of Directors. The results will be announced during a dinner reception at the conclusion of the day’s program.

Attendees can also look forward to meeting new GACC South President and CEO Martina Stegmeier, who will officially join the GACC South on March 1.

For anyone wishing to join us who is not yet a member of the GACC South, you are more than welcome! Group rates are available for anyone wishing to stay at the Westin Huntsville. Anyone currently on our mailing lists will receive further detailed information, including how to buy tickets, on Wednesday of next week.
