On August 25th, we held our 9th Annual German Bierfest at Woodruff Park in Downtown, Atlanta!
When our staff arrived early that morning, the weather was absolutely perfect, promising a great turn out and a successful event. Over 2,500 people joined us to celebrate the greatness of German beer. Complete with fun activities for the kids, music and more – the German Bierfest is the only true authentic German Bierfest in Atlanta.
Forty different German beers were poured in our twenty-four beer tents. Among the assortment were traditional German brews such as Pils, Weizen and Kölsch from twenty different German breweries including Weihenstephaner, Spaten, Erdinger, Jever, Gaffel and making an appearance in Georgia for the first time in 12 years, Bitburger.
The thirst-quenching beer was complemented with authentic German food, which was provided by several different restaurants located here in Atlanta. Attendees dressed in traditional German Lederhosen and Dirndls bringing a piece of German culture into the heart of Downtown.
We would like to thank everyone who participated in the Bierfest this year. We had an amazing set of volunteers, great vendors and generous beer distributors, along with a wide variety of other logistical people that helped make the Bierfest what it is every year.
