Winter Weddings

Late last year I celebrated my bridal shower, which was planned by my fellow coworkers at the GACC South.

I had no idea what to expect since they kept the details of the evening secret – I thought the evening was going to be an after work dinner with my colleague Britta to catch up.

It was a wonderful sight to see everyone gathered at Ormsby’s, where we spent the entire evening talking about the upcoming wedding – everything from the dress and the flowers to the cake and the types of items I would need as a newlywed.

Friends, drinks, presents, and cake – What more could a girl ask for?

Following a toast over Persico it was time for me to I begin opening gifts, which included thoughtful gift cards to set up a day of pampering and relaxation at a spa and a beautiful bridal cake made by Britta.

By the time the evening was over, I was speechless from the thoughtfulness of everyone for treating me to such a stunning occasion.

Words, however, did not escape me, as I recited my vows and said ‘I do’ on December 1^st, 2012.
